The Hierophant, card five. Triple crown, triple cross, and a hand raised in a gesture easily overlooked as a religious leader. Waite was specific about this one in his description. The sign distinguishes between the manifest part of doctrine and the part that stays concealed. Two keys cross at his feet. Two acolytes kneel below, hearing only what they're permitted to hear. He is tradition itself, the keeper of what gets passed down, and what gets withheld.
