No force is need when inner strength can conquer the unconquerable. The same symbol of infinite life that crowns the Magician lives over her head as a reinforcement of the journey undertaken. Waite was insistent that this isn't the strength of self-belief or willpower, but rather the fortitude of an internal nature that has already walked over what once could have destroyed it.
